In 2012, Neema Namadamu opened the Maman Shujaa Media Center in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Her goal was to teach women to use computers and become empowered through digital literacy. Today the center stands as a safe place for women and girls to gather and learn about the many opportunities the broader world has to offer.
